About jewellery Courses with Eckart Schillings
Welcome to my Jewellery School
I am a passionate Jeweller, Goldsmith and Gemsetter.
The first time I was asked to run a jewellery course was in 1984.
At that time I was working in Europe, building up my first Jewellery Business.
I did enjoy the task of showing other people how they can make gold or silver jewellery.
Over the next 20 years I was very busy with my own jewellery business which grew to a team of 9 jewellers and included training apprentices in the trade.
I must have made hundreds and hundreds of rings, pendants, bracelets etc over the years......
I even managed to create my own brand (Sparks Jewellery, which is still running in europe)
In 1994 I moved back to australia and established a new workshop / studio on the Sunshine Coast.
The business moved a couple of times, from the noosa industrial estate to noosa harbour and then hastings street.
I did run some more jewellery classes in my workshop at the industrial estate and on hastings street between 1996 and 2005.
In 2005 it was time for a change again and I went back to my roots, which is: Making Jewellery....
Today I work from my Studio at Coolum Beach.
Some work for private clients and some manufacturing and designing work for jewellery shops australiawide and occasional work for overseas jewellery houses.

Teaching jewellery making is a part-time activity for me, which allows me to pass on my know-how and passion of fine jewellery.

The object below is a large Sterling Silver Tray.
Commissioned by a shop in Noosa Heads, it is designed to hold a pen and other writing utensils.
I used almost 1 kg of Silver, a piece of antique Turtoise shell and many working hours to make this Tray.
A true Collectors item....
