Private tuition...

Private 'One on One' Tuition can be many things....

Here are some examples:

One of my former students, we are now going back 12 years...contacted me recently. She was going to make a pair of wedding rings. She did the design and figured it was a very difficult project involving platinum, rose gold and the setting of many difficult shaped diamonds...We met up and discussed the project and we then basically worked together in her workshop on the sunshine coast. It was a lot of work, she learned many skills and in the end we got the most unique wedding rings made...  Have a look below:

Another person with a bit of prior experience contacted me from Bundaberg, wanting to learn Silversmithing. Her main focus is wanting to learn the use of sea-shells in jewellery. She wants to travel to the sunshine coast and pack the tuition  in a day or two so my suggestion was to start on a thursday morning, do a 4 hours working session and then decide if we needed to do more the same day in the afternoon or on the next day...This working session takes place at the Buderim Gem Club so she needs to be signed up as a member there, allowing her to work in her own time at the Club.

The 3 month membership costs around $ 48, so that is on top of my hourly tuition fee of $ 70.00

Presently I have a person wanting to learn jewellery repairs, but without prior experience I did suggest to first take part in my group course to learn the basics of Gold& Silversmithing and later do some specialised  'One on One' training with me, focusing on jewellery repairs.

Contact me here if you want to improve your skills with private tuition in Gold & Silversmithing!

My main focus when doing private tuition is delivering the right training for individuals, at the right  price...sometimes it is better to get started in one of my regular group courses, that way you are getting a feel for metalworking and then at a later stage do some more intense 'One on One' training...

We can work at the Gem Club facilities in Buderim, or  I can come to work at your own workshop.
