The first time I was asked to run a jewellery making Course was in 1984.
At that time I was working in Europe, building up my first Jewellery Business.
I did enjoy the task of showing people how to make gold or silver jewellery.
Over the next 20 years I expanded my jewellery business which grew to a team of 10 jewellers.
It also included training apprentices in the trade...

I must have made hundreds and hundreds of rings, pendants, bracelets etc over the years......
Even managed to create my own brand (Sparks-Jewellery, which still operates in Europe)
In 1994 I moved back to Australia and established a new workshop / studio on the Sunshine Coast.
This business was last located in Noosa Heads, on Hastings street.
I did run some more jewellery making classes in that workshop between 1996 and 2005.
In 2005 it was time for a change and I went back to my roots!
Back to making Jewellery....
Today I work from my own Studio at Coolum Beach, Queensland, Australia.
Teaching / Classes happen at my New Workshop at Peregian Beach
My jewellery work includes the following:
Private commissions. Manufacture and design for jewellery stores australia wide.
Creation of Jewellery Collections for jewellery houses in Australia and International.
Organising and running of various Jewellery-Making Courses for Gem/Lapidary Clubs.

Teaching jewellery - making is a part-time activity for me.

The object below is a large Sterling Silver Tray.
Commissioned by a shop, it is designed to hold a pen and other writing utensils.
I used almost 1 kg of Silver, a piece of antique Turtoise shell to make this Tray.
A true Collectors item....
