Gold & Silversmithing Jewellery - Making Courses + Workshops

It's monday...just got back from ROMA, I hour flight out of Brisbane.

Had the pleasure of running a two day weekend workshop ENAMELLING  with the Roma Silversmith Group.

It went really well, we got a lot of work done...very varied...I hope the participants will continue with Enamelling

on a regular basis! The group was 10 people strong  which worked well for everyone.

The facility in Roma is really nice! A New Community Arts Centre right in the middle of town.

A modern building housing: A library, a gallery and a number of studios...Pottery, Silversmithing, Painting etc

We are already talking about doing another workshop in March or June 2011...I am looking forward to

working in Roma next time!

It's going to be a busy week, I have 2 students coming from Bundaberg

to do a 3 day 1-on-1 course , Silversmithing with me in Buderim. Thursday Friday Saturday.

I am looking forward to working with Astrid and Simon.

Enrolments are coming in for the next free1 day Course in October, 14th...

That is the one for people who have never done any jewellery before and wanting to

see if one of my next 5 week Courses would be the right thing for them to do...

I am planning to run an Advanced 2 day Enamelling Course at Buderim,

October 28th and November 4th

If you are interested in learning Enamelling on  Silver- Gold - Copper you need

to let me know pretty soon, as the materials need to be ordered in advance!

In October I have a new student coming from interstate, doing a 4 weeks course, 1-on-1

Sarah is very keen to expand her skills in Gold and Silversmithing and we will be doing some

serious work to get her onto the next level.

I have designed a specific course to cater for her needs that will cover Silversmithing,

Gemstone setting, Lost wax casting, Wax carving and Lapidary work (gem stone cutting)
